Dr. Wong obtained her degree as an MD from the University of Alberta, Canada in 1991 with honours in research. She went on to become a general practitioner, moving to British Columbia, Canada in 1995.
She has focused her practice on the treatment of varicose veins and skin concerns for the last 20 years. Channelled by her interest in research and belief in evidence-based medicine, she continues to dedicate herself to continued education and training in order to maintain her status as an expert in her chosen fields of practice.
Dr. Wong is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, and of the American Board of Laser Medicine. She obtained her Diploma in Practical Dermatology from the University of Cardiff and a Masters in Medicine in the Field of Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland. She has published several scientific papers in the area of Phlebology, and has contributed a chapter on modern treatment of varicose veins in a recent textbook for the American College of Phlebology. She is on the board of directors of the Canadian Society of Phlebology and is a regular speaker at its national meetings.
