Prakash Saha

Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon

Prakash is currently an International Endovascular Fellow at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney having most recently been a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the St. George’s Vascular Institute, London. He completed his Vascular Surgical training in London during which he was the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Lecturer in Vascular Surgery at St. Thomas’ Hospital, London. Following the completion of his PhD in 2012, Prakash has remained active in research particularly in the use of various imaging modalities for the assessment of deep venous disease. Prakash currently sits on the Research Council of the American Venous Forum and has been awarded a number of research grants from the Wellcome Trust, Academy of Medical Sciences and the British Heart Foundation. He has published in over 50 peer-reviewed journals and been fortunate to have received a number of prizes including the Venous Forum prize form the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, an International Young Investigator Award from the International Society of Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis, and an Early Career Investigator Award from the American Heart Association.
